The most advanced equipment.
To be the best, it takes the best. Not only do we employ the most skilled pilots and operators in the region, we maintain a fleet of the most advanced equipment. From our video equipment to remote sensing, you won’t find anything like what we have around. Our equipment might look standard, but you don’t see the hours of customization we put into our drones to make them perfect for every job.
DJI Inspire 2
The DJI Inspire 2 is our video production workhorse. If you hire us for a video production job, chances are, you’ll see it in the sky. It features 25 minute flight times on each battery set, the ability to film in 5.2K RAW, and a camera that is controlled independently of the drone itself, allowing us to capture shots that other drone pilots can only dream of.
Each battery lasts about 25 minutes. With 5 battery sets we’re able to keep the drone aloft for the entire day of filming.
We’ve outfitted the Inspire 2 with the Zenmuse X5S micro 4/3rds camera. We have a variety of lenses to fit the needs of your production.
Two operators are required for this drone. One to pilot the drone, the other to control the camera and capture flawless shots.
SenseFly eBee Plus RTK
The Sensefly eBee Plus RTK features incredible useful flight time of 50 minutes and cruises at 25 miles per hour. Depending on settings, we can map roughly 250 acres in a single flight. A high resolution 20 megapixel camera allows us to provide ground sample distances (ground resolution) of as low as 8mm/pixel. Compare that to Google Earth’s GSD of 60cm/pixel and the benefit is clear, crystal clear. Combine all of that with the integrated RTK receiver, which allows us to greatly increase the accuracy of your project, to see just why aerial mapping from Digital Sky is the right choice for you.
Useful flight time of 50 minutes, meaning the time where the drone is actually working and not transitioning from takeoff to landing, provides the ability to cover wide areas. Not to mention, we bring at least 5 batteries with us to each job. There’s no job too big or small for this aerial mapping beast.
The Sensefly eBee Plus RTK is equipped with the Sensefly S.O.D.A. camera. The S.O.D.A. is a 20 megapixel camera with a 1 inch sensor that allows us to capture photos of amazing clarity, increasing the value of your maps. Each of these photos is then stitched into one large map file, where a variety of outputs is available such as 3D pointclouds, topographic maps, contour map files, and others.
We usually send the eBee Plus RTK out with one operator. Though in high stress areas or on larger jobs we will send two. One to operate the drone and one to spot for obstructions and assist in flight planning/setup.
DJI Phantom 4 Professional
The DJI Phantom 4 Pro is a readily available small Unmanned Aerial System that is easy to operate and features a decent camera. It’s not something we generally use on larger productions, but will bring it along to capture behind the scene footage for our own purposes. We do utilize this drone for aerial photography on jobs where we don’t want to use the Inspire 2.
Each Phantom 4 Pro battery provides about 25 minutes of flight time, which is more than enough to capture most shots.
The Phantom 4 Pro is equipped with a 20 Megapixel Camera with a 1 inch sensor.
Only one operator is needed for the DJI Phantom 4 Pro.
DJI Mavic Pro
The DJI Mavic Pro is an incredible LITTLE machine. And when we say LITTLE we mean TINY. Its super small stature allows us to fit into places that our larger drones can’t. This lets us capture shots that would otherwise be impossible by flying through holes and underneath obstacles, which can usually look really cool if executed properly.
The Mavic Pro has a flight time of 20 minutes and like with all of our drones, we’ve got enough batteries to keep it in the air for multiple hours.
The Mavic Pro has a pretty impressive camera for it’s size. We can shoot in 4K with this tiny thing, and it takes pretty impressive 12 megapixel stills.
The DJI Mavic Pro only requires one operator.
